Lowenstein’s unique Onboarding, Orientation, and Integration (OOI) department ensures lateral partners achieve both immediate and long-term success through comprehensive planning and personalized support. This approach facilitates their seamless personal and professional integration into the firm.

  • Onboarding: we collaborate with lateral partners prior to their arrival, assisting them with the logistics of transitioning to a new firm.
  • Orientation: we equip lateral partners with essential information to help them acclimate to the firm and smoothly transition their practice.
  • Integration: we provide lateral partners a dedicated integration team that provides regular check-ins throughout their first year, along with a customized integration plan tailored to their specific needs.

0-3MONTHS

Meet key attorneys and staff across departments to provide a working knowledge of how the firm operates.

  • Introductions across practices, firm leadership, and key business services departments
  • Review of immediate practice needs and any changes since initial recruitment discussions
  • Launch of client transfer process
  • Creation of integration and business development plan

4-8MONTHS

Nurture existing client relationships, identify cross-practice opportunities, and develop plans for targeting new prospects.

  • Implementation of integration and business development plan, including key marketing strategies and tactics
  • Identification of cross-practice opportunities with current Lowenstein clients
  • Professional development, trainings, and continuing legal education sessions
  • Check-ins and continued introductions across firm practices and offices

9-12MONTHS

Continue to nurture business opportunities and meet with key stakeholders across the firm; regroup with dedicated OOI team to discuss any additional assistance or support.

  • Continued execution of integration and business development plan and marketing strategies/tactics, with reporting on key metrics/performance indicators
  • Continued check-ins and/or introductions across firm practices and offices
